Role – Manager, Supplier Support (Supplier Enablement – SAP Business Network (B13)):
The person in this role owns end-to-end supplier enablement delivery for SAP Business Network (formerly Ariba Network) from our centre in Ahmedabad. The role is accountable for driving supplier onboarding, adoption, and transaction readiness across source-to-pay processes (e.g., PO collaboration, order confirmation, ASN, invoicing, Catalog enablement), ensuring compliance with global policies and measurable improvements in supplier experience and spend coverage. The person will build and manage global relationships across Procurement, AP, IT, Services, and external suppliers/partners, and will define and run scalable enablement processes that meet service standards and business outcomes. This role reports to the Sr Manager, GPS.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own global supplier enablement delivery on SAP Business Network, including intake, prioritization, onboarding, activation, and ongoing supplier lifecycle management.
- Drive adoption of target capabilities such as PO collaboration, confirmations, ASN, invoice automation, catalog/enablement, and supplier profile/data maintenance.
- Lead supplier engagement strategy including communication plans, supplier training, enablement campaigns, and escalation management for critical suppliers.
- Partner with Procurement, AP, and IT to align enablement with buying channel strategy, compliance requirements, and system/process design (S2P policies, invoice compliance, tax/regulatory needs where applicable).
- Establish performance management using KPIs (e.g., supplier activation rate, transaction compliance, e-invoice penetration, cycle times, touchless processing rate, supplier satisfaction) and drive continuous improvement.
- Accountable for “change the business” initiatives including digitization, automation, supplier experience enhancements, and transformation roadmaps.
- Manage operational risk, compliance, and controls in collaboration with internal audit/controls teams; ensure documented SOPs, access/role adherence, and issue remediation.
- Lead and develop the enablement team (Hire, Run, Develop, Retain), including capability building across tools, process expertise, and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in supplier enablement, procurement operations, S2P transformation in a global environment.
- 5+ years experience leading cross-functional/global teams and managing stakeholders across regions and functions.
- Proven hands-on knowledge of SAP Business Network / Ariba Network enablement (supplier onboarding, transaction enablement, e-invoicing/PO collaboration, enablement support model).
- Strong process management skills: standardization, optimization, documentation, controls, and scalable service delivery.
- Governance & KPI expertise: ability to define metrics, run operating reviews, manage escalations, and ensure compliance.
- Change management capability: driving adoption, communications, training, and supplier experience improvements.
- Analytical and continuous improvement mindset (root cause analysis, defect reduction, cycle time improvements).
- Education: Degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Technology proficiency: SAP S/4HANA integration concepts, Ariba/SAP Business Network administration/operations; familiarity with P2P tools and ticketing platforms preferred.
