Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong project management and vendor coordination capabilities. The ideal candidate will have nearly a decade of experience in engineering and project execution roles, with proven people management skills and the ability to drive projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from planning through execution and handover. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, and operations to ensure project success. Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and performance oversight. Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management to ensure quality deliverables. Review technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation for accuracy and compliance. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet organizational objectives. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and resolve technical challenges. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver optimal engineering solutions. Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality protocols, and regulatory requirements. Prepare project reports, status updates, and presentations for senior management. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and team productivity.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience: 9-10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering and project management roles, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex projects.
People Management: Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, including mentoring, performance management, and team development.
Vendor Management: Strong track record in vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Location: Candidates residing near STCB or willing to relocate are strongly preferred for operational convenience.
