Job Overview
Baseline is looking for a Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in industrial and commercial projects. The role involves handling electrical design, engineering coordination, site support, and technical review activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical systems for industrial and commercial projects
- Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLD), load calculations, and electrical layouts
- Develop lighting, wiring, earthing, and lightning protection layouts
- Perform lighting calculations using Dialux
- Carry out load calculations and electrical system analysis
- Perform equipment sizing for transformers, DG sets, cables, and switchgear
- Prepare earthing calculations and related layouts
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and project teams
- Review BOQs, technical specifications, and material submittals
- Support cable sizing, panel selection, and equipment specifications
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and site teams
- Monitor project progress and provide technical support during execution
- Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and safety requirements
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and client meetings
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering and project execution
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and design practices
- Experience in lighting calculation using Dialux
- Knowledge of lighting, wiring, earthing, and lightning protection systems
- Experience in load calculations and electrical system sizing
- Knowledge of equipment sizing for transformers, DG sets, cables, and switchgear
- Familiarity with earthing calculations and protection systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical design tools
- Experience in industrial/commercial projects preferred
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
