About TapStock
TapStock is building a technology-led procurement and fulfilment platform for the interior, architecture and construction ecosystem.
We are looking for our first Operations hire to build TapStock’s operating system from scratch across warehouse, inventory, fulfilment, dispatch, delivery and customer experience.
You’ll work directly with the founding and technology teams.
Mission: Build operations that can handle 10X volume without adding 10X people.
What you'll own :
1. Order Fulfilment
- Own Order → Stock → Picking → QC → Packing → Dispatch → Delivery.
- Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve fulfilment speed and accuracy.
2. Warehouse & Inventory
- Build processes for receiving, inwarding, storage, picking, QC, packing, dispatch and returns.
- Establish SKU/bin discipline, cycle counting, reconciliation and inventory accuracy.
- Create simple SOPs that teams can execute consistently.
3. Last-Mile Delivery
- Design TapStock’s initial delivery model across riders, third-party partners and mini-trucks.
- Own route planning, batching, SLAs and delivery costs.
- Optimise for fast delivery at the lowest sustainable cost.
4. Technology + Operations
- Work closely with the technology team to turn operational problems into scalable product solutions. Example: Wrong item picked → Poor SKU identification → Barcode/QR-based picking.
The constant question should be: “Can technology eliminate this manual activity?”
5. Build the Operating Playbook
Create SOPs covering fulfilment, inventory, delivery, returns, damages, failed deliveries, escalations and emergency orders.
Metrics you will Own :
Fulfilment: Processing time, pick/pack/dispatch time, fulfilment SLA
Inventory: Accuracy, stock-outs, picking accuracy, shrinkage, damages
Delivery: On-time %, delivery time, failures, cost/delivery, orders/rider
Productivity: Orders/day, orders/employee, orders/hour, warehouse utilisation
What we are looking for :
- 3–10 years in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Last-Mile or Dark Store operations.
- Hands-on experience in high-speed fulfilment environments.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and last-mile operations.
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets and analytical skills.
- Strong execution, ownership and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working directly with technology/product teams.
- Comfortable building processes from scratch in a startup.
Most importantly: We want someone who has personally solved operational problems on the ground, not someone who only prepares MIS reports.
You should be fast, analytical, hands-on, process-driven and technology-friendly.
You could be in the warehouse at 8 AM, analysing 200 orders at 11 AM and redesigning the workflow with the technology team at 4 PM.
Reporting
Reports directly to the Founder / CEO during the MVP stage and works closely with
Product/Technology, Procurement, Warehouse, Customer Success and Delivery Partners.
Compensation
Fixed compensation + meaningful performance-linked component. Final compensation will depend on experience and demonstrated ability to build scalable operations.
