We are currently looking for Senior Animators to create high quality animations of characters and elements, to convey emotion, movement, action and personality according to the style of the work
- Experience in animating for feature films, VFX, TV series, ride films or games
- A demonstrated passion and ability in animating character performance and lip sync
- A flexible approach, while setting and maintaining consistent high-standards within the group and staying focused on deadlines
- Animate a shot from blocking through final animation, with minimum supervision
- Must be open to direction and be able to embrace change
- Expected to mentor and assist entry level animators
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the team and the project
- Pro-actively escalate technical issues to more senior artists or lead
- Assist with project clean up and archiving on an ongoing basis
- Degree or equivalent in classical animation, film, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience
- Ability to script in python and MEL essential
- Must have a strong sense of animation basics, acting, staging, posing, weight, timing and storytelling as well as staying on model
- Strong understanding of the language of the camera; framing, perspective, lenses, coverage, continuity, camera movement, blocking, etc.
- Solid camera animation work (laying out shots, staging)
- A team player with exemplary communication skills
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues
- Should be able to adapt to a dynamic pipeline as well as contribute to it. Strong understanding of traditional animation principles
- Extensive knowledge of Maya is necessary
- Excellent attention to detail
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Works well under pressure
- Previs experience is a plus
- Knowledge of rigging is an advantage
- Knowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills
