Position Overview: Auxilife is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Manager – Computational Toxicologist to leads and manages computational toxicology projects and teams. Additional to support regulatory toxicology, ecotoxicology, in silico risk assessment, and non-animal testing strategies for agrochemicals, biocides, and industrial chemicals. This role will contribute to global regulatory submissions, data gap filling, and scientific innovation in predictive toxicology
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply in-silico models (QSAR, read-across, SAR) for hazard assessment.
- Support in regulatory dossiers using computational toxicology.
- Conduct weight-of-evidence assessments and NAM-based strategies
- Identify and address data gaps using predictive tools
- NAMs (New Approach Methodologies) application
- Prepare technical reports for regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs, toxicology, ecotoxicology, and chemistry teams.
- Train and mentor team in computational toxicology approaches.
- Stay updated on emerging tools and OECD guidance
Required Qualifications:
- PhD or master’s degree in Toxicology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in computational toxicology or regulatory science.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with non-animal testing methodologies (NAMs)
Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools such as:
- OECD QSAR Toolbox
- DEREK Nexus
- VEGA QSAR
- Toxtree
- Familiarity with IUCLID
Soft Skills:
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
