Gateway International School is looking for an experienced and passionate PGT Biology Teacher to join our faculty at the Mahabalipuram campus. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, innovative teaching methodologies, and the ability to inspire students in scientific exploration and research.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum Implementation:
- Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for Grades 11 & 12, following CBSE guidelines.
- Develop lesson plans, lab activities, and project-based learning strategies.
- Encourage critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and hands-on experimentation.
Laboratory & Practical Learning:
- Conduct biology lab experiments, dissections, and scientific investigations.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Guide students in biology projects, research, and science exhibitions.
Assessment & Student Development:
- Prepare and evaluate assignments, tests, and practical assessments based on CBSE standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress.
- Mentor students preparing for competitive exams like NEET and Olympiads.
Collaboration & Professional Growth:
- Work closely with the Science department to promote interdisciplinary learning.
- Stay updated with advancements in Biology and educational best practices.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training programs, and school initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or related field with a B.Ed. (mandatory).
- Experience: 3-5 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools (Freshers with strong skills may apply).
- Practical Knowledge: Expertise in laboratory experiments and scientific research methodologies.
- Technology Proficiency: Ability to integrate digital tools, interactive simulations, and e-learning platforms.
