Position Summary
The Electrician Trainer will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training in electrical systems, wiring, installation, maintenance, and safety practices under CSR-funded skill development initiatives. The trainer will ensure quality training delivery, hands-on technical exposure, assessment readiness, and industry-aligned skill development for trainees.
The role requires strong technical expertise, learner engagement capabilities, and experience in vocational training or electrical field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Conduct practical and classroom-based training sessions on:
- Basic electrical concepts and wiring
- Domestic and industrial electrical systems
- Installation and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Electrical tools and instruments handling
- Circuit testing and troubleshooting
- Safety procedures and electrical standards
- Deliver training as per the approved curriculum and batch schedule.
- Demonstrate practical exercises and supervise hands-on lab sessions.
- Train candidates on electrical safety, preventive maintenance, and workplace practices.
Curriculum & Assessment
- Prepare lesson plans, training modules, assignments, and practical demonstrations.
- Conduct periodic assessments, mock practicals, and technical evaluations.
- Support trainees in preparation for certification assessments and trade tests.
- Maintain trainee attendance, progress reports, and assessment records.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure training quality standards and classroom discipline are maintained.
- Monitor electrical lab setup, tools, equipment, and safety compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting as per project guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to CSR project standards and training protocols.
Student Engagement & Support
- Mentor and motivate trainees for successful course completion and employment readiness.
- Support mobilisation, counselling, and community engagement activities when required.
- Create an inclusive and practical learning environment for trainees.
Placement & Industry Coordination
- Coordinate with placement teams and industry partners for job opportunities.
- Support trainees in interview preparation and workplace readiness.
- Assist in organising industrial visits, employer interactions, and placement drives.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electrician, Electrical Engineering, or related trade.
- Relevant NSDC/SSC certification will be preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical work, maintenance, or vocational training.
- Prior experience as an Electrician Trainer or Technical Instructor preferred.
- Experience in CSR or skill development projects will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical wiring, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to conduct hands-on practical training effectively.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Basic computer proficiency for maintaining records and reports.
