Costing & Tendering Engineer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Costing & Tendering Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in cost estimation, rate analysis, BOQ preparation, vendor coordination, and tendering activities within the interior and construction industry.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Costing, Estimation, or Tendering.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Tendering
- Analyze BOQ items and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Perform rate analysis for materials, labor, and accessories.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings.
- Maintain and update material and labor cost databases.
- Prepare variation statements and cost comparison reports.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and labor contractors.
Vendor Management
- Negotiate rates with suppliers, subcontractors, and labor vendors.
- Explore and identify new products and cost-effective solutions available in the market.
Site & Project Coordination
- Conduct site visits to understand project scope, feasibility, and associated risks.
- Coordinate with internal departments for project costing and tender requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain proper project documentation and records.
- Submit periodic reports to the Costing Manager.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Understanding of BOQ items and construction methodologies.
- Ability to identify materials and estimate their consumption.
- Proficiency in reading 2D/3D drawings.
- Ability to take measurements and prepare BOQ/BOM from drawings.
- Knowledge of interior and construction materials and execution practices.

Communication Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Good interdepartmental coordination skills.
Language Requirements
- English – Read, Write & Speak
- Tamil – Speak
- Hindi – Speak
- Additional languages will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP or cost estimation software.
- Knowledge of Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA).
- Ability to prepare and present project presentations (PPTs).
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Pay: Up to ₹49,000.00 per month
