1. Training Delivery & Technical Instruction
- Theory Lectures: Teach the fundamentals of solar energy, electrical concepts (Ohm’s law, AC/DC currents), and photovoltaic (PV) technology.
- Practical/Lab Demonstrations: Walk students through the structural mechanics—how to mount solar structures, handle panels safely, execute precise electrical wiring, and install inverters, charge controllers, and battery banks.
- Safety First: Instill rigorous safety procedures (using PPE, handling high voltages, rooftop safety, and proper tool utilization).
2. Operational & Project Tasks
- Lesson Planning & Assessments: Design lesson plans mapped to national qualification standards (like the Skill Council for Green Jobs - SCGJ). Conduct weekly tests and mock practical exams to ensure students are ready for official third-party assessments.
- Lab Management: Ensure the training center’s solar lab equipment (multimeters, solar modules, structures, tools) is properly maintained, functional, and safe.
- Placement & OJT Support: Guide students during their On-the-Job Training (OJT) and prepare them for job interviews with solar project developers and EPC companies.
