QA Tester / Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Job Description
Position: QA Tester (Manual & Functional Testing)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web, mobile, and software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying bugs, validating requirements, executing test cases, and working closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business and technical requirements.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing.
- Test web applications, mobile applications (Android/iOS), and APIs.
- Verify UI/UX consistency across devices and browsers.
- Conduct database validation and data integrity checks when required.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and release activities.
- Ensure software meets quality standards before production deployment.
- Prepare QA reports and testing documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Knowledge of web and mobile application testing.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience testing SaaS, healthcare, fintech, or e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
