Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Die/Mould Setting and Changeover
- Install and Remove Molds: Safely mount, align, and secure heavy moulds (dies) onto machine platens using clamps, bolts, and overhead cranes or hoists.
- Connect Auxiliary Lines: Hook up water/coolant lines, hydraulic lines, pneumatic air lines, and electrical temperature controllers (thermolators/chillers).
- Calibrate Mechanical Limits: Adjust ejector pins, core pulls, safety gates, and stroke limits to match the new mould specifications.
2. Machine Operation and Parameter Control
- Set Process Parameters: Input and adjust cycle recipes via the PLC control panel, regulating barrel temperatures, injection pressures, clamping forces, injection speed, and cooling timers.
- Automatic Cycle Monitoring: Run the machine in automatic mode, ensuring continuous part production, smooth robotic part removal, and proper conveyor flow.
- Material Management: Load thermoplastic resins (like PP, ABS, PC, Nylon) into hoppers and monitor automated drying and feeding systems.
3. Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting
- Inspect Parts: Perform visual and dimensional checks (using calipers or micrometers) on initial and ongoing production samples to spot defects like flash, short shots, sink marks, or warping.
- Process Correction: Troubleshoot minor processing or automation faults and fine-tune machine settings to eliminate scrap parts.
- Grind and Recycle: Operate scrap grinders to process runner waste and sprues for approved re-use.
4. Maintenance and Safety Compliance
- Preventive Maintenance: Clean, grease, and inspect moulds and machine components before storage or after production runs.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during mould changes and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of cycle parameters, production output, downtime reasons, and maintenance actions.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
