Summary:
As an Operations Engineer, a typical day involves overseeing the smooth functioning of production systems and services, ensuring they meet operational requirements and service agreements. This role requires continuous monitoring, managing delivery processes, and addressing any issues that arise to maintain system stability and performance. The position demands proactive engagement with various teams to coordinate efforts and uphold service quality, while adapting to dynamic operational needs and priorities throughout the day.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Autosys job scheduling environment, including event processors, agents, and databases.
- Manage EEM (Enterprise Event Manager) for user authentication, role-based access control, and policy enforcement.
- Implement and maintain security standards across Autosys and EEM, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Troubleshoot job failures, agent connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks across distributed systems.
- Perform Autosys upgrades, patching, and environment migrations with minimal downtime.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Autosys Administration.
- Experience in managing job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting within complex production environments.
- Automate routine tasks using advanced scripting (UNIX/Linux shell, Python, PowerShell) for job creation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Integrate Autosys with enterprise tools such as CI/CD pipelines, ITSM platforms (ServiceNow), and monitoring solutions (Splunk, AppDynamics).
- Coordinate with vendor support (Broadcom/CA Technologies) for issue resolution, product patches, and feature enhancements.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize job definitions, calendars, dependencies, and workflows.
- Document technical procedures, create knowledge base articles, and provide training to operations and application teams.
- Conduct capacity planning, workload forecasting, and performance tuning to ensure scalability.
- Act as the escalation point for critical incidents and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders for rapid resolution

- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Autosys Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
