JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Mechanical Engineer for our Textile Printing Machine Manufacturing Division. The role involves supporting end-to-end production operations, including machine assembly, fabrication coordination, production planning, process monitoring, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands a strong technical understanding of industrial machine manufacturing, mechanical systems, and structured production execution.
The ideal candidate should possess sound engineering fundamentals, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to perform effectively in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute and monitor day-to-day production activities related to the manufacturing and assembly of textile printing machinery in accordance with approved production plans.
- Coordinate the assembly of Rotary Printing Machines, Flatbed Printing Machines, Laser Engraving Systems, and Digital Textile Printers while ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Supervise fabrication, machining, fitting, alignment, and final assembly processes to ensure dimensional accuracy, functional reliability, and production efficiency.
- Review mechanical drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and production schedules prior to execution.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, tools, and production resources to achieve targeted output and timely project completion.
- Identify and resolve mechanical assembly challenges including fitment deviations, alignment discrepancies, vibration issues, and performance-related concerns during production stages.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Electrical, Fabrication, Stores, Procurement, and Quality departments to ensure seamless workflow and production continuity.
- Conduct in-process inspections and monitor compliance with established manufacturing standards and quality parameters.
- Support machine testing, dry trials, performance validation, and final inspection activities prior to machine dispatch.
- Maintain accurate production documentation including daily production reports, job progress status, rejection analysis, downtime records, and productivity reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing rework and improving manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to shop floor safety practices, 5S implementation, and company SOPs.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of industrial machine manufacturing processes, fabrication methodologies, and precision assembly systems.
- Sound knowledge of textile printing machine architecture, including Rotary Printing Systems, Flatbed Machines, Laser Engraving Equipment, and Digital Textile Printing Solutions.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, fabrication layouts, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Working knowledge of mechanical transmission systems, including shafts, bearings, rollers, gear assemblies, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and motion transfer mechanisms.
- Familiarity with production planning, process flow optimisation, machine trial procedures, and in-process quality assurance practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving production bottlenecks and mechanical non-conformities.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and production documentation systems will be considered an added advantage.
- Effective coordination and communication skills for managing cross-functional production activities and technical discussions.
- Strong discipline in reporting, execution, and shop floor supervision within a structured manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform under production deadlines while maintaining quality, safety, and operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
