he Project Engineer – Mechanical is responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and coordination of mechanical project activities at site. The role involves supervising installation, fabrication, erection, testing, commissioning, and ensuring completion of projects within the specified timeline, quality standards, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical project activities as per project schedule and specifications.
- Supervise erection, installation, fabrication, piping, equipment alignment, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Review engineering drawings, BOQ, technical specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor manpower deployment and productivity at site.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.
- Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions to avoid project delays.
- Verify material availability and coordinate with procurement/store departments.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure work execution as per approved drawings and standards.
- Attend project review meetings and provide technical support.
- Maintain documentation related to work progress, inspections, and handover activities.
- Support billing, measurement verification, and project closeout activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in mechanical project execution.
- Experience in industrial projects, construction projects, MEP, piping, HVAC, fabrication, or equipment installation preferred.
- Knowledge of project execution, site coordination, and safety practices.
