Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join our core IT operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of our enterprise Windows Server and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, strong incident management skills, and a proven track record of maintaining high availability and security across physical and virtual infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
Windows Server & Physical Hardware:
Provision, configure, and manage enterprise-grade physical servers and Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Virtualization:
Manage and maintain enterprise virtualization environments utilizing Hyper-V. SCVMM: Utilize System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) for centralized management, provisioning, and optimization of the virtualized host infrastructure.
Active Directory: Administer Active Directory domains, forests, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP, ensuring secure and efficient identity and access management.
SCCM Administration:
Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for operating system deployments (OSD), application packaging, software distribution, and inventory management.
Security Patching:
Design and execute the enterprise security patching strategy for all servers and endpoints, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Vulnerability Management:
Proactively monitor, assess, and remediate system vulnerabilities to maintain strict compliance with corporate security standards. Outage Management: Lead response efforts during critical system outages, coordinating with cross-functional teams to restore services rapidly and minimize business impact.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
Conduct deep-dive investigations and author comprehensive RCA reports following major incidents to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Vendor Management:
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external hardware and software vendors. Manage support tickets, hardware replacements, and SLA compliance.
Required Experience
Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Wintel Administration, or a similar enterprise IT infrastructure role. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills for effective Vendor Management, and the ability to work under pressure during critical outages on rotational shifts including weekends
