Senior Property Manager – Job Role & Responsibilities
A Senior Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, maintenance, tenant relations, financial management, and compliance of one or multiple properties. This role focuses on maximizing occupancy, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and ensuring smooth day-to-day property operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Property Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties
- Ensure properties are maintained to company standards
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors
- Monitor property inspections and repairs
2. Tenant & Leasing Management
- Manage tenant relationships and resolve escalated issues
- Oversee leasing activities and occupancy performance
- Ensure lease agreements are properly executed and enforced
- Handle lease renewals, notices, and tenant communications
3. Financial Management
- Prepare and manage property budgets
- Monitor rent collection and delinquency reports
- Approve invoices and operational expenses
- Track financial performance and profitability of properties
4. Team Leadership
- Supervise leasing staff, assistant property managers, and maintenance teams
- Train and guide onsite staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and enforce accountability
- Ensure strong communication and operational discipline across teams
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local housing laws and company policies
- Handle legal notices, eviction coordination, and documentation
- Maintain accurate records and operational reports
- Reduce operational risks and liability issues
6. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
- Negotiate contracts and monitor service quality
- Ensure projects and maintenance tasks are completed on time
7. Reporting & Strategic Planning
- Prepare operational and occupancy reports for upper management
- Analyze property performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Implement strategies to improve tenant retention and operational efficiency
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Knowledge of leasing, property operations, and tenant management
- Budgeting and financial reporting experience
- Ability to handle multiple properties and workloads simultaneously
- Experience with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, Buildium, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of property management experience
- Experience managing residential or commercial portfolios
- Strong understanding of leasing and eviction procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field (preferred)
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
