Role summary
Align is currently seeking a Microsoft 365 & Power Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Collaboration Services (ECS) team. As a key technical resource, you will manage and support Microsoft technologies with a strong emphasis on O365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and automation. This role moves beyond standard administration; you will be heavily involved in engineering automated processes, developing workflows, and scripting to drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in writing complex PowerShell scripts and building robust solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) across SharePoint Online, Teams, and Exchange Online.
Role expectations
- Design, write, and maintain complex PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks, reporting, and system integrations across the M365 ecosystem.
- Develop, deploy, and support custom applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Administer, monitor, manage, and implement changes to the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring high availability and security.
- Assist in testing, implementing, and operationalizing requested new features through configurations, custom development, or collaboration with technology partners.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, resolve bugs promptly, and provide Tier 3 support for escalated client-level operation tasks.
- Work collaboratively with other architects, administrators, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth global operations.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents within the M365 and identity environments.
- Support Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid) and Entra ID operations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, automation logic plans, and configuration guides.
- Work in shift-based operational models as required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What we're looking for
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise IT/IS Service Organization.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting (ability to write, debug, and optimize complex scripts from scratch).
- Proven experience building and maintaining solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- 2–3 years of experience in IAM / Entra ID / Microsoft identity operations.
- Experience configuring and managing Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid) and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a globally distributed team.
- Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio to create, enhance, or integrate MS bots.
- Advanced proficiency in SharePoint Online development, or Microsoft Graph API integrations.
- Experience leveraging Copilot and APIs to further enhance workflow automation.
- Strong awareness of industry compliance regulations and organizational data governance policies.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate, or equivalent certifications.
