The Technical Trainer is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering technical training programs focused on Drives and Electrical Systems. The role involves stud the learning materials, evaluating product functionality, maintaining training records, and supporting continuous competency development to enhance technical knowledge and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct technical training sessions on Drives and Electrical Systems for internal and external participants.
- Develop, update, and improve training modules based on engineering requirements, product enhancements, and customer needs.
- Test product functionality and incorporate practical exercises into training programs.
- Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of company products, technologies, and processes.
- Assess trainee understanding through practical demonstrations, assessments, and feedback sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of all internal and external training activities, attendance, and competency development.
- Continuously update training content to reflect new products, technologies, standards, and competencies.
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and product teams to ensure training content remains accurate and relevant.
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance learning outcomes, team efficiency, and technical accuracy.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees as required following training sessions.
- Willingness to travel for customer or regional training programs, if required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in technical training, industrial automation, electrical systems, or drive technology.
- Strong knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), electrical control systems, motors, and industrial automation.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop technical training materials and deliver both classroom and hands-on training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with SINAMICS G120, SINAMICS S120, SIMOTION, and Motion Control Systems is highly preferred.
- Experience with other industrial drive systems is also welcome, provided the candidate has a strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and drive technologies.
- Sound knowledge of electrical concepts, motor control, industrial automation, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to quickly learn new products and technologies and effectively transfer technical knowledge through training.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills with a passion for technical learning and knowledge sharing.
