Job Summary
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Legal Associate with 3–4 years of experience to lead our Contract Life cycle Management (CLM) and contract abstraction workflows. You will perform high-volume analysis, metadata extraction, and Quality Control (QC) on complex commercial, vendor, and US Healthcare contracts using AI-assisted legal tech. This role requires sharp analytical skills to meet tight metrics, clear communication for direct client interaction, and a desire to mentor junior associates. Applicants with direct experience in document review will be prioritized.
Job Responsibilities:
Contract Analysis & Abstraction
- Analyze and abstract complex commercial, enterprise, and legacy agreements using client playbooks.
- Extract key metadata including financial obligations, indemnity, liability limits, and regulatory risks.
- Identify deviations or missing information from complex contract text based on client guidelines.
- Map document hierarchies to match Master Agreements (MSAs) with related SOWs and amendments.
- Draft clear summaries outlining critical contract rights, risks, and financial liabilities.
Legal Tech & Data Management:
- Use CLM and AI platforms (such as SirionLabs, Icertis, Conga, Evisort, Kira, or Relativity) daily.
- Train AI tools through clause tagging, metadata verification, and error checking.
- Organize repositories to clean up, audit, and categorize legacy contracts.
- Run document reviews for regulatory compliance, data privacy, litigation, and due diligence.
- Build Boolean searches and use data analytics to isolate critical case documents.
Quality Control & Team Leadership
- Own batch delivery to ensure projects meet strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform Quality Control (QC) sweeps, track error metrics, and compile escalation logs.
- Mentor and train junior team members on playbooks, regulations, and technology platforms.
Client Communication
- Coordinate directly with clients and cross-functional teams to resolve contract queries.
- Lead status updates during client calls and requirement-gathering sessions.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Degree: Law degree (LL.B., LL.M., or J.D.) is mandatory.
- Experience: 3–5 years in contract abstraction, review, and legal operations. Prior document review experience is highly preferred and will receive priority consideration.
- Background: Proven track record within an LPO, corporate legal department, or legal tech vendor.
Technical & Domain Expertise:
- Contracts: Deep understanding of U.S./global contract structures, legal terminology, and complex clauses.
- Domains: Experience reviewing commercial, healthcare, real estate, lease, and procurement agreements.
- Tech: Hands-on proficiency with CLM and AI platforms (e.g., Icertis, Conga, Ironclad, Kira).
- Data: Experience with legacy migration, repository clean-up, and family hierarchy mapping.
Core Competencies:
- Analysis: Strong problem-solving skills for intense clause-by-clause analysis.
- Linguistic: Elite written and verbal English comprehension with meticulous attention to detail.
- Resilience: Proven ability to maintain extreme precision under high-volume pressure and tight deadlines.
Preferred Credentials (The "Plus" Factors)
- Litigation, Tech & Contract Tools: Experience with Relativity, antitrust reviews, or U.S. litigation workflows, alongside advanced usage of specialized contract tools like SirionLabs, Evisort, or Kira.
- Client & Project Lead: Background in client-facing roles, project coordination, or stakeholder management.
- Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Working Days : 6 days working culture (Mon - Sat)
Salary will be based on performance.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
