Job Description (Shift Incharge – Power Plant Operations)
Qualification:
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate is mandatory
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a thermal power plant
- Experience in CFBC Boiler operation is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Boiler, Turbine, and all plant auxiliaries.
- Lead and supervise shift operations, ensuring uninterrupted plant performance.
- Coordinate startup, shutdown, and normal operation of Boiler, Turbine, Cooling Tower, Coal Handling Plant (CHP), Ash Handling Plant (AHP), and related systems.
- Guide and monitor shift operators and field engineers to achieve safe and efficient plant operation.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for equipment isolation, permit clearance, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor operating parameters, identify abnormalities, and take immediate corrective actions to prevent plant trips.
- Maintain shift logbooks, operational records, and prepare daily shift reports.
- Ensure steam generation and power output as per process and grid requirements.
- Supervise coal unloading, coal yard management, and fuel availability.
- Monitor boiler water quality, DM Plant operation, and ensure adherence to water chemistry standards.
- Handle plant emergencies such as boiler trips, turbine trips, blackouts, leakages, and other critical situations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, statutory regulations, and environmental norms.
- Maintain good housekeeping and promote a strong safety culture within the plant.
- Work in rotational shifts and ensure smooth shift handover/takeover.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹77,000.00 per month
