About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Native Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for a connected-device platform. The role involves building Android applications that communicate with smart hardware using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and integrate with cloud-based services.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Android development, BLE communication, mobile architecture, performance optimization, and production support. You will collaborate with Cloud, Firmware, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK
- Build new features, fix issues, optimize performance, and support production releases
- Implement BLE communication workflows including device scanning, pairing, GATT services, characteristics, and data exchange
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and cloud services
- Develop responsive UI using Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, and Material Design
- Manage app builds, releases, and Google Play Store deployments
- Write unit and UI tests to improve application reliability
- Troubleshoot production issues using analytics, logs, and crash reporting tools
- Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Cloud, Firmware, QA, and Web teams
Required Skills & ExperienceAndroid Development
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in native Android development
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and XML/View systems
- Experience with Coroutines, Flow, StateFlow/SharedFlow, and concurrency handling
- Strong understanding of Android lifecycle, background processing, and performance optimization
Architecture & Design
- Strong knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVC concepts
- Experience with Use Cases, Domain layers, and testable architecture
- Hands-on experience with Dependency Injection frameworks like Hilt/Dagger
BLE & Connected Device Expertise (Mandatory)
- Strong practical experience with Android Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Knowledge of BLE scanning, filtering, connection flow, GATT services, characteristics, MTU handling, notifications/indications
- Experience with BLE queue management, retries, reconnection strategies, and reliable data transfer
- Understanding of encrypted device communication and OTA firmware update flows
- Experience working with IoT or smart-device companion applications preferred
Networking & Security
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL integration, and API optimization
- Knowledge of JWT authentication, refresh tokens, SSO, and secure storage
- Understanding of SSL pinning and secure credential management
Data & Performance
- Experience with Room Database and data migration handling
- Knowledge of caching strategies, large data handling, and performance optimization
- Experience improving app stability and memory management
Testing & Delivery
- Experience with JUnit, Espresso, Kaspresso, and mobile testing practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Gradle, Fastlane, and mobile release processes
- Experience with Firebase App Distribution, Play Store publishing, Crashlytics, and Analytics
Preferred Skills
- Experience building IoT / connected-device applications
- Experience with OTA firmware update workflows
- Knowledge of Google Maps, Fragments navigation, and localization tools
- Experience with A/B testing and AI-assisted development tools
- Good to have: B1 Visa

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
