Requirements of General Manager who’s having experience of 15 to 20 Years in the Industry
The General Manager is responsible for the overall operations, profitability, guest satisfaction, and staff management of the hotel. The role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, and ensuring high service standards aligned with the brand and market positioning of a 3-star property.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily hotel operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, and Maintenance.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all departments.
- Maintain service quality standards as per 3-star hotel benchmarks.
- Handle guest complaints and ensure quick resolution.
2. Revenue & Financial Management
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and cost control.
- Optimize room occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR.
- Increase revenue through banquets, restaurants, and events.
3. Sales & Marketing
- Develop sales strategies to increase occupancy and F&B sales.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
- Monitor online presence on platforms like Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, and Goibibo.
- Plan promotions, packages, and seasonal offers.
4. Guest Experience
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain service excellence and hospitality standards.
- Monitor guest reviews and ratings.
5. Team Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff across departments.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Maintain discipline, motivation, and team coordination.
- Ensure staff grooming and professionalism.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with local laws, licenses, and safety regulations.
- Maintain hygiene standards (FSSAI, fire safety, etc.).
- Conduct regular audits and inspections.
7. Inventory & Procurement
- Monitor inventory levels (F&B, housekeeping, maintenance).
- Control wastage and pilferage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
