About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Conventional Turning Operator to independently set up and operate conventional lathe machines for manufacturing precision components as per engineering drawings and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate conventional/manual lathe machines independently.
- Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, grooving, and taper-turning operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Perform job setting, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
- Select suitable cutting tools, speeds, and feeds according to job requirements.
- Inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Identify and resolve basic machining and tooling issues.
- Minimize rejection, rework, and material wastage.
- Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and 5S practices.
Required Skills
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Conventional/Manual Turning operations.
- Strong knowledge of lathe machining and cutting tools.
- Ability to independently handle machine and job setting.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Proficiency in precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of different machining materials, speeds, and feeds.
- Experience in precision manufacturing/tool room environments will be preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
