We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager / Purchase Head to lead and manage the procurement activities of our organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in purchasing industrial materials, engineering components, machinery parts, and vendor management in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Source and procure raw materials, engineering components, fabrication items, machinery parts, and industrial equipment.
* Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with suppliers.
* Identify and develop new vendors to achieve cost-effective procurement.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production and Stores departments.
* Ensure timely availability of materials to support manufacturing operations.
* Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
* Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, fabrication, explosives, defense, chemical, or related industries will be preferred.
* Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
* Good knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
* Local candidates from Nagpur will be preferred.
* Ability to manage multiple vendors and procurement projects independently.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
