Production Planning Manager – Heavy Fabrication

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Production Planning Manager to oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization for heavy fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth coordination between design, procurement, and shop floor teams to achieve timely delivery and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules based on project requirements and customer deadlines.
- Plan and allocate resources (manpower, machines, materials) to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement, estimation, and quality teams to ensure material availability and compliance.
- Monitor fabrication progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports for management review.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and optimize costs.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to align production with project milestones.
Candidate Profile
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- 5–8 years of experience in production planning and scheduling within fabrication or engineering industries.
- Strong knowledge of carbon steel and stainless steel fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production planning tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
