Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for providing immediate post-operative nursing care to patients recovering from cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeries.
- Receive patients from operation theatre after surgery.
- Monitor vital signs, ECG, oxygen saturation, respiratory status, and level of consciousness.
- Assess patient recovery from anesthesia.
- Provide post-operative nursing care as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor chest drains, IV lines, urinary catheter, and ventilator support.
- Observe for complications such as bleeding, arrhythmias, respiratory distress, and hemodynamic instability.
- Maintain accurate intake and output records.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, oxygen therapy, and pain management medicines as prescribed.
- Assist in CPR, intubation, and code blue emergencies.
- Ensure emergency equipment and crash cart readiness at all times.
- Maintain nursing records and recovery room documentation accurately.
- Prepare and provide proper patient handover during transfer to ICU or ward.
- Follow infection control, safety, and sterile protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of recovery room and equipment.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, ICU staff, and OT team for patient care management.
- Qualification required: GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with valid Nursing Council registration.
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in ICU, Recovery Room, OT, or CTVS unit preferred.
- Knowledge of ECG monitoring, ventilator handling, critical care nursing, and emergency management required.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred.

- GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
Registration
- Valid Punjab Nursing Council Registration
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in ICU, Recovery Room, OT, or CTVS unit preferred.
