We are looking for a Steel Industry Insider — someone who has spent 5-10 years working INSIDE a steel mill, secondary mill, or steel trading business. Not a procurement manager from a buyer-side company. Not a consultant. We need someone who has stood on a mill floor and knows how the steel trade actually works. You will lead our Steel & Structural vertical from Day 1, and build supply partnerships.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of experience INSIDE a steel manufacturing or distribution company (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in roles such as: Plant Operations, Production Manager, Mill Sales, Dealer Development, Regional Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Quality Head
- Direct knowledge of: TMT bars (Fe500/Fe550/Fe600), structural steel, channels, angles, beams, MS rounds, GP/GC sheets, billets, HRC, CRC - Understanding of steel pricing dynamics — mill premiums, trade discounts, regional differentials, monsoon effects
- BE/B. Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Civil Engineering preferred - Bachelor's degree mandatory; Engineering degree preferred
- Personal network of 30+ secondary steel mill owners and regional dealers in central/western India - Experience handling steel quality disputes and contractor escalations - Prior experience at: JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Jindal Steel & Power, SAIL, Kamdhenu, Shyam Metalics, secondary mills in Raipur/Durgapur/Wada/Mandi Gobindgarh - Experience at OfBusiness (Steel desk) or Moglix is a plus
Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
