- Take end-to-end ownership of the existing PHP application.
- Understand the current system architecture and business workflows.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features.
- Maintain and enhance existing functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Optimize application performance and database queries.
- Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Design and develop REST APIs and integrate third-party services.
- Participate in technical discussions and solution design.
- Prepare technical documentation where required.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, QA, and Project Managers to ensure timely delivery.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong experience in PHP 7/8 with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Strong knowledge of MVC architecture and design patterns.
- Excellent knowledge of MySQL including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Apache/Nginx, and deployment activities.
- Knowledge in Jira for Agile development.
Primary Technical Skills Required:
Backend: PHP 7.4
Database: MySQL 8.4
Architecture: Completely custom-built using the MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern.
Version Control: Git is used for source code management and version control.
Hosting: Application is hosted on Linux server. In future AWS Services.
Codebase: Fully custom application (not based on a CMS or framework).
