Key Responsibilities
- Setup and Operation: Prepare, configure, and operate CNC machinery (e.g., mills, turnmill, millturn) to perform authorized tasks.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs to determine required dimensions and specifications.
- Programming and Adjustments: Load, run, and edit pre-written programs, making necessary tool offsets and, in some cases, manual coding to achieve precision.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools like micrometers or calipers.
- Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials securely into the machine.
- Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance, such as changing dull tools or lubrication.
Requirements and Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
- Experience: 1–8 years of experience in machining, drilling, milling, or similar manufacturing roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in blueprint reading, computer software, and basic mathematical calculations.
- Attention to Detail: High precision to ensure parts meet exacting standards.
