About the Role:
PACE Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist & HPB Liver Transplant Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced surgical care in Gastrointestinal, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB), and Liver Transplant Surgery while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver diseases requiring surgical intervention.
- Perform advanced open, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgeries.
- Can perform and assist in complex HPB and liver transplant procedures.
- Evaluate pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management of patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists, Oncologists, Intensivists, Radiologists, and Anesthesiologists.
- Participate in liver transplant recipient and donor assessments.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital protocols, and clinical governance policies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate in academic activities, CMEs, clinical audits, research, and training programs.
- Contribute to departmental growth, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
Qualifications
- MBBS
- MS/DNB in General Surgery
- M.Ch./DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology
- Fellowship/Training in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant Surgery preferred
- Valid Medical Council Registration
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Surgical Gastroenterology and HPB/Liver Transplant Surgery after super-specialization.
- Experience in handling complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver transplant cases.
- Expertise in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic GI surgeries is desirable.
