We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of inspection methods, measuring instruments, quality documentation, and manufacturing processes. Experience in centrifugal pump manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or precision engineering will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of components and finished products.
- Inspect raw materials, castings, forgings, machined components, fabricated parts, and other engineering items.
- Check components as per engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and inspection standards.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, and other inspection equipment.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Quality Records, and Inspection Check Sheets.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials/components and coordinate with concerned departments for corrective action.
- Prepare and maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report), CAPA, and corrective/preventive action records.
- Support Root Cause Analysis for quality issues and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Design, and Service departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure products are manufactured and inspected according to approved drawings and quality requirements.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist in handling customer complaints, rejection analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintain proper records of inspection, rejection, rework, and quality-related activities.
- Participate in internal audits, process audits, and customer/vendor inspections when required.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of inspected components and materials.
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Follow company quality procedures and contribute towards maintaining ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Inspection and Quality Control.
- Practical knowledge of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T/tolerances.
- Knowledge of NCR, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and 7 QC tools will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and machining processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with production and other departments.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in an engineering or manufacturing industry.
Candidates with experience in centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, machining, casting, fabrication, or precision engineering will be preferred.

Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Weekly Off: Friday

Salary
₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, and interview performance.
