Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in solar power projects (Rooftop / Ground-mounted). The role includes site supervision, coordination with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the project team in achieving timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and electrical layouts for solar installations.
· Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, earthing, and lightning protection designs.
· Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components – inverters, transformers, switchgear, panels, and SCADA systems.
· Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety norms, and local regulations (CEA, MNRE, DISCOM).
· Coordinate with design, civil, and mechanical teams for smooth project execution.
· Perform inspections and quality checks for electrical materials and workmanship.
· Handle liaison with local electricity boards for net metering, synchronization, and statutory approvals.
· Troubleshoot electrical issues during project execution and operation phases.
· Maintain documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and commissioning records.
· Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for operational solar plants.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (both rooftop and ground-mounted).
· Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
· Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
· Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
