About the Role
A fast-growing nanotechnology startup developing next-generation
membrane solutions. As we scale from pilot to commercial production, we are
seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Officer to build, manage, and optimize our end-to-
end supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup
environment and enjoys working at the intersection of R&D, manufacturing, and
vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement
Manage end-to-end supply chain activities including sourcing, procurement,
inventory, logistics, and vendor management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, chemicals,
polymers, and precision components used in membrane manufacturing
Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and contracts to balance cost, quality,
and reliability
Develop contingency plans for critical materials and single-source risks
Inventory & Production Support
Plan and monitor inventory levels to support R&D, pilot-scale, and commercial
production
Coordinate closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to
align material availability with production schedules
Implement basic inventory control systems, tracking, and documentation
suitable for a growing startup
Logistics & Compliance
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including domestic and international
shipments
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations related to chemicals, hazardous
materials, and export/import requirements
Work with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners to ensure
timely delivery
Process Improvement & Scaling
Help design and implement scalable supply chain processes as the company
grows
Track key supply chain KPIs (cost, lead time, service levels) and propose
continuous improvements
Support ERP or digital tools implementation as required
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, quality, finance, and operations teams to support
product development and commercialization
Provide supply chain inputs for new product introductions and scale-up
decisions
Qualifications &Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations,
Chemistry, or a related field
2–4 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations
(experience in manufacturing, chemicals, materials, or deep-tech startups is a
strong plus)
Familiarity with sourcing technical or specialty materials
Basic understanding of inventory management, logistics, and vendor
negotiations
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
