Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality Assurance from the Garment/Apparel Industry to lead and manage end-to-end quality assurance operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining product quality standards, reducing defects, ensuring buyer compliance, and driving continuous improvement across production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Quality Assurance function for garment manufacturing operations
- Develop and implement quality standards, SOPs, and inspection procedures
- Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, AQL standards, and garment quality specifications
- Monitor inline, pre-final, and final inspections to maintain product quality
- Analyze quality issues, defects, and customer complaints and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with production, merchandising, sourcing, and technical teams to improve quality performance
- Conduct factory audits and ensure compliance with industry and buyer standards
- Train and mentor QA/QC teams on garment quality standards and best practices
- Monitor quality KPIs and prepare reports for management review
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize rejections and rework
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within the Garment/Apparel Industry
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, printing, washing, finishing, and quality inspection systems
- Experience handling international buyers and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with AQL standards and garment testing procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with export-oriented garment factories
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and quality improvement methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple production units and large QA teams
