The Director/Dean – Training & Placement (T&P) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and strengthening the institute's training, internships, industry collaboration, and campus recruitment activities to enhance students' employability and placement outcomes.
Key Result Areas (KRAs) – Director, Training & Placement
- Develop and implement the institute's Training & Placement strategy.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industries, corporate organizations, and recruiters.
- Achieve annual placement targets in terms of placement percentage, salary packages, and recruiter participation.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, pre-placement talks, interviews, and selection processes.
- Facilitate internships, industrial visits, live projects, and industry-sponsored projects.
- Organize employability enhancement programs, including aptitude training, soft skills, communication skills, technical training, and personality development.
- Identify industry skill requirements and recommend curriculum improvements in coordination with academic departments.
- Sign and manage MoUs with industries for internships, placements, research, and skill development.
- Develop alumni and corporate networks to generate placement opportunities.
- Organize career guidance sessions, workshops, seminars, and expert lectures.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of students, recruiters, placements, internships, and alumni.
- Prepare placement statistics and reports required for NAAC, NBA, NIRF, AICTE, UGC, and other regulatory bodies.
- Promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup initiatives in collaboration with incubation centers.
- Ensure effective communication between students, faculty, recruiters, and institute management.
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor utilization of Training & Placement resources.
- Monitor student participation in training programs and placement readiness.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and placement procedures.
- Enhance the institute's employer branding through corporate engagement and outreach activities.
- Conduct placement analysis and use feedback from recruiters to improve student employability.
- Submit periodic reports to the Director on Training & Placement activities and outcomes.
Qualification
- Master's Degree in Management/Engineering/Technology or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Preference may be given to candidates with a Ph.D.
- Strong understanding of industry-academia collaboration, recruitment processes, and employability development.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in higher education, corporate HR, recruitment, training, or placement activities.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior Training & Placement leadership role.
- Proven track record of establishing industry partnerships and achieving excellent placement outcomes.
- Experience with accreditation and ranking requirements (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, AICTE, UGC) is desirable.
- Excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, data analysis, and placement management software.
Pay: ₹125,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
