The Team
The Team is responsible for overseeing IFRS 15 compliance and revenue recognition processes across the organization. The team acts as a bridge between Finance, IT, Revenue Operations, Deal Support, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate contract accounting, system integrity, and regulatory compliance. In addition to supporting day-to-day operations, the team drives process improvements, automation initiatives, and the continued evolution of revenue recognition capabilities.
The Role
This role is responsible for leading and coordinating IFRS 15-related activities within the IFRS team. Key responsibilities include RevPro Superuser activities, reporting, implementation of IFRS 15 initiatives (including Professional Services and Customer Success Services), collaboration with IT and Revenue teams, and coordination of daily operational activities. The position also serves as a trusted finance business partner to cross-functional teams, providing guidance on revenue recognition, compliance, and system-related matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- ACCA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, revenue recognition, or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS revenue recognition principles, particularly IFRS 15, SOX controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing accounting reports and schedules for management and compliance reporting purposes.
- Proven ability to assess and communicate the financial impact of IFRS 15 across different business segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing analysis of IFRS 15 impacts to support business profitability and decision-making.
- Review and validate system-generated IFRS revenue allocations within RevPro.
- Perform financial reviews of standalone and bundled customer contracts.
- Maintain and enhance RevPro, including support for the implementation of new products, services, bundle rules, and SSP templates.
- Partner with external providers, including Zuora (RevPro Support), to drive system and reporting enhancements.
- Own the maintenance and reporting of Standalone Selling Prices (SSP) and monthly IFRS 15 business impacts.
- Develop and automate reporting solutions using Power BI, Salesforce, and other analytical tools.
- Provide support and guidance to global Revenue and Finance teams.
- Manage fair value calculations for all Hitachi Vantara Performance Obligations (POBs).
- Test newly released products and support end-to-end OTC process validation.
- Monitor and validate the accuracy of scalable deal processing and revenue outcomes.
- Lead projects and process improvements while working independently with limited supervision.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and quality review of their work.
- Collaborate effectively with GSS, Sales, Revenue Operations, IT, and other business stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
- Proactively identify challenges, drive resolutions, and recommend alternative solutions.

You will manage complex projects and processes, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen revenue compliance and operational efficiency.
