Job Summary
Trident Machinery Corporation is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and grow our business in industrial machinery, construction equipment, engineering products, agriculture & garden equipment, and related machinery solutions.
With 50+ years of industry experience, Trident operates across multiple product verticals and serves customers in India and overseas. The company represents and distributes multiple international and Indian machinery brands
This is a hands-on business leadership position for someone who can take ownership of sales, operations, profitability, customers, vendors, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall business operations, sales, profitability and growth.
- Develop and execute sales and business-development strategies.
- Build relationships with industrial, construction, infrastructure and institutional customers.
- Drive quotations, negotiations, order closures and key accounts.
- Develop and manage OEM, manufacturer, dealer and supplier relationships.
- Identify new products, markets and business opportunities.
- Oversee procurement, inventory, logistics and order fulfilment.
- Monitor P&L, gross margins, working capital, receivables and cash flow.
- Lead and develop sales, operations, technical and support teams.
- Resolve major customer, commercial and technical issues.
- Track competitors, market trends and pricing.
- Improve business systems, processes, reporting and operational efficiency.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
The candidate should have practical knowledge of industrial and construction machinery, including understanding of:
- Machine specifications and applications
- Construction equipment
- Industrial machinery
- Material-handling equipment
- Pumps, generators and power equipment
- Machine maintenance and servicing
- Spare parts and consumables
- Equipment costing and lifecycle considerations
Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in machinery, industrial equipment, construction equipment, engineering products or capital goods.
- Experience in a GM / Business Head / Regional Head / Senior Sales & Operations role preferred.
- Engineering, Business Management, Commerce or related qualification.
- Strong B2B sales and business-development experience.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Understanding of P&L, margins, inventory and receivables.
- Proven experience managing teams.
- Strong customer and vendor relationship-management skills.
- Willingness to be hands-on in an MSME environment.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
