About the Role
QeCAD is looking for a talented SolidWorks Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in mechanical design and detailing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in developing detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, fabrication drawings, cut lists, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare fabrication drawings for components such as posts, blades, carriers, and flashings.
- Create accurate part and assembly models for manufacturing.
- Generate cut lists and Bills of Materials (BOM) for production.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Revise drawings based on client feedback and production requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control.
Required Skills
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Part Modeling
- Assembly Modeling
- Manufacturing & Fabrication Drawings
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Cut List Generation
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fabrication or structural steel projects.
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal and Weldments in SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation standards.
- Experience with ERP or PDM systems will be an added advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in SolidWorks Design and Detailing.
