Job Summary
The Junior Civil Works Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities, coordinating with labourers and contractors, monitoring material usage, and ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings and project specifications. The role requires strong site execution skills, knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities at the assigned project site.
- Coordinate with labourers, contractors, vendors, and the project team for smooth execution of work.
- Monitor labour productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Track the availability and proper utilization of construction materials and equipment.
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, structural drawings, and technical specifications for site execution.
- Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify site-related issues and coordinate with senior engineers to resolve them promptly.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
- Maintain daily site reports, work progress records, and material consumption reports.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams whenever required.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety practices are followed throughout the project site.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in civil construction or site supervision.
- Freshers with strong practical knowledge gained through internships or site training may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of civil construction methods and site execution.
- Ability to read and understand AutoCAD drawings and technical documents.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Understanding of construction materials, measurements, and quality standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage labour teams and daily site operations effectively.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office for reporting.
- Willingness to work at project sites.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates residing in East Tambaram, Tambaram, Selaiyur, Camp Road, Sembakkam, Medavakkam, Perungalathur, or nearby locations will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
