Responsible for leading and implementing Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems for a large hydro infrastructure project. The role involves ensuring full compliance with applicable statutory regulations, company standards, and client requirements while driving a proactive and sustainable safety culture across all levels of the organization. The incumbent will manage high-risk construction activities including tunneling, drilling & blasting, work at height, confined space operations, and heavy lifting activities. Responsibilities include overseeing contractor safety performance, conducting hazard identification and risk assessments, leading incident investigations and root cause analysis, and ensuring closure of corrective actions. The role also involves planning and executing internal audits, safety trainings, and emergency preparedness programs. The candidate will lead and mentor EHS teams, coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation of safety initiatives in a challenging remote project environment.
