Job Description
The Dandelion – Colonels' Jungle Resort, a 21-room forest property near Londa junction, is hiring a Chef to run our kitchen ahead of a September 2026 reopening. We host corporate groups, school trips, family functions, and couples — so group buffets are a core part of the job, alongside à la carte dining.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can run a resort kitchen independently, not a large-brigade position. You'll lead the kitchen with one kitchen helper and surge staff during group bookings.
Cuisine
- North Indian (core): dal makhani, butter chicken, kadhai chicken/paneer, mixed veg, jeera aloo, curries, rice, rotis, parathas
- Indo-Chinese: chilli paneer/chicken, fried rice, manchurian, chowmein, chilli potatoes
- Tandoor: rotis, tikkas, kebabs, tandoori chicken
- 3-4 resort signature dishes
Responsibilities
- Run daily kitchen operations for a 21-room resort
- Plan and execute group buffets for 40-50 guests (this is the key skill we're hiring for)
- Cook à la carte orders for in-house couples and families
- Manage food prep, portioning, and kitchen hygiene
- Supervise one kitchen helper and surge staff during group events
- Maintain food cost discipline and minimize wastage
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager on menus and guest requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years in resort, banquet, or restaurant kitchens
- Strong command of North Indian curries and gravies
- Indo-Chinese cooking essential
- Tandoor experience preferred
- Able to independently plan and cook for group buffets (40+ guests)
- Hindi essential; any additional language a plus
- Willing to live on-property full-time (accommodation + all meals provided)What We Offer
