About the Role:
As a Partner - Government, Public and Ssocial, you will be engaging in business development and client relationship management along with overseeing high-quality delivery of projects up to and above client expectations.

As an overall vertical leader for Government & Public Sector, you will be responsible for building and growing the practice across key sectors such as AI policy, Digital transformation, Smart Urban Development, Rural Development, Healthcare & Family, Industrial Development, Tourism development and Investment promotions.

Driving engagements across core service areas including e-Governance, Consulting, Capacity Building, Digital Transformation, Project Implementation and IEC.

Developing plans and strategies to build a healthy sales pipeline and achieving the company's sales goals within the Government & Public Sector ecosystem

Cultivating, empaneling with and creating new CXO / senior bureaucratic relationships across central, state and multilateral institutions

Researching and identifying sector-specific opportunities, generating leads, target identification and classification across priority sectors
-
Understanding client requirements and customizing project scope and service offerings (e-Governance, Digital Transformation, Capacity Building, etc.) as per their needs

Developing trusted relationships to enable consultative selling, making presentations or pitches outlining Praxis’ key offerings aligned to sector priorities

Thinking through the practice marketing plan for the practice and working with the marketing team to drive initiatives

Identifying and building the Praxis partner network including ecosystem players, implementation partners and domain experts

Maintaining relationships with all potential and existing clients across government bodies and development institutions

Tag teaming with Praxis Practitioner partners across sectors to bring in expertise into delivery

Building and leading high impact proposals, bids (RFPs/RFQs/EOIs) and large transformation opportunities

Overseeing project delivery and guiding teams to drive customer delight and measurable impact

Working with delivery teams to create lasting impact through engagements in public sector programs and initiatives
Competencies and Skills:
-
Proven experience in business development in management consulting, with minimum 15+ years including deep experience in Government & Public Sector / development sector
-
Strong understanding of public sector consulting across areas like e-Governance, digital transformation, program implementation and policy advisory

Past experience as a P&L leader

Strong desire to build a business / entrepreneurial mindset within a sector-led consulting environment

Strong commercial orientation with ability to navigate public sector sales cycles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and deep understanding of Tech/AI

Strong ability to research, analyse and communicate key sectoral and commercial value drivers

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior government officials

Understanding of consulting market, especially Government & Public Sector and development consulting landscape

End-to-end understanding of consulting and managed services toolkit and ability to align horizontal offerings (Digital, Capacity Building, Implementation) to sector needs

Ability to create impactful, tailored proposals for government and multilateral projects

Ability to workplan, define scope and approach for large-scale public sector assignments

Ability to guide and monitor project delivery teams; existing relationships with senior stakeholders in government/public institutions preferred
