Purchase & Stores Officer-Aerospace Manufacturing
Department: Supply Chain / Materials Management
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
- Raise and process purchase orders (POs) for production materials, bought-out components, consumables, tooling, and MRO items in line with approved requisitions and production schedules.
- Source and evaluate suppliers; obtain competitive quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to achieve cost and delivery targets.
- Manage supplier relationships, track open PO status, and expedite deliveries to prevent production stoppages.
- Coordinate with the PPC / production planning team to align procurement actions with SAP-generated purchase requisitions and material shortage alerts.
- Maintain approved vendor lists in compliance with quality system requirements; support supplier qualification and periodic review activities.
- Ensure all procured items are sourced from approved sources and that certificates of conformance (CoC), material test reports (MTR), and other quality documentation are obtained and retained.
- Process supplier invoices in coordination with accounts payable; resolve discrepancies in price, quantity, or delivery.
Stores & Inventory Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the stores function: receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and return of materials and components.
- Ensure accurate and timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing in the ERP system; reconcile physical receipts against POs and packing lists.
- Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, periodic physical inventory audits, and prompt investigation and correction of discrepancies.
- Enforce aerospace traceability requirements: maintain lot/batch records, shelf-life controls, and first-in-first-out (FIFO) / first-expired-first-out (FEFO) disciplines.
- Monitor and manage minimum stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock; flag replenishment requirements to prevent stock-outs on the shop floor.
- Control and manage non-conforming material areas ensure rejected or quarantined parts are properly segregated, tagged, and dispositioned in line with quality procedures.
- Oversee proper storage conditions for sensitive materials including temperature-controlled items, hazardous substances, and shelf-life-limited materials.
Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per year
