Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary
The operations manager is responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining the highest quality standards. The role includes overseeing production, planning, maintenance, quality, inventory, logistics, and workforce management to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
Plan, organise, and monitor daily manufacturing activities to meet production targets.
Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
Minimise downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Process Improvement
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Quality Management
Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or relevant standards).
Monitor product quality and reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
Coordinate with the Quality team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintenance & Asset Management
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Ensure maximum machine availability and reliability.
Monitor maintenance KPIs and equipment performance.
Inventory & Supply Chain
Manage raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
Optimize inventory levels while reducing waste.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operators.
Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations.
Promote safe working practices and conduct regular safety audits.
Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and labour regulations.
Financial & Operational Control
Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Analyse operational data and prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
MBA/PGDM in Operations Management is preferred.
Experience
12–15 years of manufacturing experience.
Minimum 3–5 years in an Operations Manager role.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and ERP systems is preferred.

Quality systems (ISO 9001/ AS9100 0where applicable).
Cost control and budget management.
Inventory and supply chain management.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and problem-solving.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and MS Office.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Production target achievement.
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Production cost per unit.
On-Time Delivery (OTD).
First Pass Yield (FPY).
Scrap and rejection percentage.
Machine downtime.
Inventory accuracy and stock turnover.
Safety performance (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate - LTIFR).
Employee productivity and absenteeism.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
