THE ROLE
EPR is now mandatory across six waste streams in India — Plastic, E-Waste, Battery, Tyre, Used Oil and End-of-Life Vehicles. Every obligated entity must register, report and meet recycling targets on Government portals, within fixed deadlines. We manage this for 200+ clients across these segments.
You will own a set of client accounts end-to-end — collecting and validating their data, preparing filings, submitting them on CPCB / SPCB portals, and tracking every deadline to closure. What we need is someone accurate with data, persistent with follow-ups and reliable with deadlines.
Location : Indore
Work Experience : 1+ year
REPORTS TO : Operations Manager
TRAVEL : Occasional, if needed
WHAT YOU WILL DO
● Own a portfolio of clients and act as their day-to-day point of contact.
● Chase clients proactively over email and calls until data and documents are received — this is a significant part of the role and requires persistence.
● Work extensively in Excel on client data — sales and purchase registers, product and packaging data, invoice-level records. Clean, structure and validate large datasets and identify gaps before they reach a filing.
● Perform compliance calculations and prepare data in the formats required by regulatory portals.
● Prepare and submit registrations, returns and other filings on CPCB / SPCB portals accurately and within deadline; maintain audit-ready documentation.
● Draft correspondence with regulatory authorities and support in responding to queries and clarifications.
● Prepare compliance status reports and trackers; follow internal SOPs and escalate risks early.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
● Graduate in any discipline (Environmental Science, Law, Commerce, Management or equivalent).
● 1 – 2 years in operations, MIS, documentation, compliance support or reporting.
● Strong Excel skills as detailed alongside.
● Clear, professional written English — you will write client emails and regulatory correspondence daily.
● A deadline-driven approach. Regulatory deadlines are fixed; missing one has direct consequences for the client. You must plan backwards from a due date and not let things slip.
● Attention to detail — here, a wrong figure is worse than a late one.
● Willingness to learn regulations from the ground up.
Preferred
● Prior exposure to compliance, legal, regulatory, statutory or audit-support work — the closest adjacent background and given preference.
● Experience with Zoho applications (Projects, Sheet, Mail, Cliq, WorkDrive).
● Comfort with client-facing follow-ups and coordination.
EXCEL REQUIREMENTS
● Text: LEFT, RIGHT, MID, TRIM, CONCAT / TEXTJOIN, LEN, SUBSTITUTE
● Numeric: SUM, SUMIF / SUMIFS, COUNTIF / COUNTIFS, ROUND, AVERAGE
● Date: TODAY, DATEDIF, EOMONTH, YEAR / MONTH, date formatting & conversion
● Logical: IF, nested IF, AND / OR, IFERROR
● Lookup: VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH
● Functionality: Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Sorting & Filtering, Data Validation, Remove Duplicates, Text-to-Columns
● Working confidently with large datasets without losing accuracy.
WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
● A specialised skill set. EPR is expanding fast across all six waste streams and very few professionals have hands-on expertise in it. You will.
● Structured training on EPR rules, waste-stream categories, CPCB portal workflows and internal SOPs.
● Real ownership early. Your own clients, your own filings.
● Direct regulatory exposure to Government portals, statutory filings and authorities.
