Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quality Supervisor to manage quality inspection and control activities in our press machine and sheet metal stamping manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining product quality, conducting inspections, handling rejection and ensuring compliance with customer quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day quality inspection activities on the production floor.
- Inspect press machine and stamped components as per drawings and specifications.
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection.
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge and Gauges.
- Monitor production quality and identify defects at the earliest stage.
- Handle rejection, rework and defect analysis.
- Maintain quality inspection reports and records.
- Coordinate with Production to resolve quality-related issues.
- Identify the root cause of recurring quality problems and support corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring instruments.
- Monitor process parameters and quality standards.
- Prepare daily quality reports and communicate quality issues to management.
- Ensure proper segregation and identification of rejected/non-conforming material.
- Support implementation of 5S and quality improvement activities.
- Follow company quality procedures and customer requirements.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Press Machine / Sheet Metal Stamping industry preferred.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal components and press parts.
- Knowledge of inspection and measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and tolerances.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA and rejection analysis.
- Good communication and team-handling skills.
- Ability to work in shifts when required.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma / Graduate with relevant experience in Quality Control.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with hands-on experience in press shop quality, sheet metal stamping, dimensional inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection will be preferred.
Salary
₹13,000 – ₹15,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
