Junior Scrum Master
Location: Chennai, Pune & Hyderabad
Experience: 2 to 4 Years
Job Description:
- Scrum & Agile Facilitation
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile/Scrum principles, values, and best practices
- Support one or more development teams in Agile execution
- Delivery Management
- Track sprint progress, velocity, and burndown charts
- Identify and remove impediments to improve team productivity
- Coordinate with Product Owners to refine and maintain the product backlog
- Ensure timely delivery of sprint goals and release commitments
- Team Collaboration & Coaching
- Foster an environment of transparency, communication, and continuous improvement
- Coach team members on Agile practices and self-organization
- Work closely with developers, testers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Stakeholder Management
- Communicate sprint health, risks, and dependencies clearly to management
- Support Product Owners in defining sprint priorities
- Manage expectations across internal teams and external clients
- Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams
- Implement metrics-based improvements to enhance delivery efficiency
- Promote Agile maturity within the team and organization
Required Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience as a Scrum Master in IT Services or Software Development
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or Trello
- Good understanding of SDLC, QA processes, and DevOps concepts
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple teams or projects (nice to have)
Additional Skills
- Preferred (Good to Have)
- Scrum Master certifications (CSM, PSM I/II)
- Exposure to distributed/offshore teams
- Basic technical understanding (APIs, cloud concepts, integration flows, etc.)
- Experience in client-facing roles
