Job Overview
The Dentist will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive and basic curative oral healthcare services through the Mobile Dental Van at community locations. The role includes conducting oral examinations, diagnosing and treating common dental conditions, performing minor dental procedures, promoting oral health awareness, maintaining accurate clinical records, and ensuring high standards of patient care while coordinating with the outreach team.
Job Responsibilities

Conduct dental screening and treatment camps in schools and community settings through the Mobile Dental Van. Perform oral examinations, diagnose common dental conditions, and provide basic preventive and curative dental care.
- Identify beneficiaries requiring advanced dental treatment and facilitate referrals to designated hospitals or dental clinics.
- Maintain infection prevention, sterilization, and biomedical waste management protocols within the Mobile Dental Van. Ensure the safe handling, maintenance, and inventory of dental instruments and equipment.
- Conduct oral health education and awareness sessions for school children, teachers, parents, and community members.
- Coordinate with schools, community stakeholders, referral centres, and local authorities for planning and implementation of dental camps.
- Maintain patient records, treatment registers, referral records, and programme reports.
Support follow-up of referred cases and undertake any other responsibilities assigned for the successful implementation of the Mobile Dental Healthcare Project.

Profile Requisites:

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized university with a valid registration with the Maharashtra State Dental Council or any other relevant State Dental Council.

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in dentistry.

Experience in school oral health programmes, community dentistry, mobile dental units, or outreach camps will be an added advantage.

Good clinical diagnostic, patient counselling, and communication skills.

Knowledge of infection prevention, sterilization, and biomedical waste management practices.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Ability to work independently in community and field settings.

Willingness to travel extensively across Mumbai and Karjat.
Remuneration:
Consultancy fees will range between INR 45000 per month, subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit.
