The Production Line Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process of agricultural implements, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. The role involves managing manpower, optimizing production workflows, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities on the manufacturing line
- Ensure production targets are achieved within deadlines
- Monitor quality standards of agricultural implements at every stage
- Manage and allocate workforce efficiently
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and company policies
- Maintain production reports and documentation
- Handle machine downtime and coordinate with maintenance team
- Train and guide production staff for better performance
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (cutting, welding, assembly, painting)
- Leadership and team management skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of quality control tools and techniques
- Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing
- Good communication and reporting skills
